Global Equities Research, using a proprietary tracking system, tracking system, has revealed the new program has been quite successful in its first three days with 90,000 downloads of iBooks Author and 350,000 textbooks downloaded from the iBooks store.
The new apps appear to be catching on for writers, publishers and book-seekers alike. Cost may be one of the biggest factors, with iBook production about 80 percent less than print publication according to Global Equities Research.
